Langpark Health is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse RN Division 1 – Clinical Lead to join our healthcare team in Langwarrin, Victoria.

The hours available are approximately 30 to 35 per week (negotiable) and the position involves covering varying shifts between 0830 and 1800hrs, plus some Sat mornings on rotation with other nursing staff. You must have flexibility to be able to cover other shifts when staff are on leave.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, train and mentor nursing staff and healthcare team members, fostering a culture of professional development and clinical excellence
- Develop, implement and review nursing protocols, clinical guidelines and best practice procedures to ensure compliance with professional standards
- Collaborate with general practitioners and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated, patient-centred care
- Provide direct clinical nursing care to patients including immunisations, wound management, chronic disease management, and health assessments
- Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical governance within the practice
- Manage nursing schedules, resources and workload allocation to optimise patient care delivery




- Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with legislation and professional standards
- Participate in continuing professional development and maintain current clinical knowledge in community nursing practice
- Contribute to the development of health promotion and disease prevention programmes within the community

What we're looking for

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse, with experience in general practice or community nursing settings
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and experience mentoring or supervising nursing staff
- Strong knowledge of nursing scope of practice, qualified standards and legislative requirements in community healthcare
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making abilities with a patient-centred approach
- Proficiency in cold chain management; infection prevention and control including reprocessing and sterilisation; chronic disease management; immunisation protocols; and health promotion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Current Nurse Immuniser, First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to achieve)
- Proficiency with electronic health records and medical practice management systems (Best Practice preferred)
- A commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
- Flexibility to cover staff leave, sometimes at short notice
