An opportunity has presented itself for an Operations Superintendent to join our team in Rockhampton, QLD.

n

What You'll Do

n

Lead and manage protected, efficient and high-performing multi-site rail operations across key Queensland locations.

n

Reporting to the Regional Manager Queensland and northern NSW, you will:

n

n
- Lead the overall performance of the Rockhampton, Gladstone and Mackay terminals
n
- Rail corridor responsibility from Maryborough West to Mackay.
n
- Provide leadership to a team of approximately 50 employees, including 4 direct reports.
n
- Ensure all sites operate in line with our safety-first approach while meeting operational and performance targets.
n
- Develop and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement across safety, culture and operational efficiency.
n
- Build strong relationships across geographically dispersed and remote worksites.
n




- Provide visible and accessible leadership within a 24/7 operational environment.
n

What You'll Bring

n

- Demonstrated experience leading large operational teams, ideally across multiple or remote sites.
n
- Strong people leadership capability with the ability to build a collaborative, respectful and high-performance culture.
n
- Proven ability to drive positive cultural change across safety and performance.
n
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Experience operating with full accountability and the ability to work autonomously.
n
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation.
n
- Rail industry experience is advantageous.
n
