Turn twenty years of racing into a business

Triple Eight Race Engineering is Ford's Supercars partner and runs the Red Bull Ampol Racing program out of Banyo in Brisbane. Twenty years of racing has left us with something no licensee can manufacture: the cars, the suits, the wheels, the panels, and the stories behind them. We have started turning that into a business, and it is working. What it does not have yet is one person who owns it.

That is this role.

The role

As Brand Activation Manager you will own everything Triple Eight makes or authorises outside our licensed merchandise. Three pillars:

- Exclusive products. Memorabilia and exclusive product built from race-used material - suits, boots, gloves, wheels, body panels, aero, and desktop pieces cut from real carbon and rubber. The range is largely designed and costed. It now needs someone to take it to market.
- Merchandise. Triple Eight's own historical range - caps, tees, can coolers and novelty pieces - sold direct through our Shopify store and at events.
- Collaborations. Ancillary and co-lab product with partner brands: model cars, stickers, key rings, kids' toys and lifestyle partnerships. Existing partners to grow and new ones to bring in.

This is a new, standalone department and you are the first appointment into it. Based at our Banyo headquarters, you will run it end to end: product and suppliers, pricing and margin, the Shopify store, marketing, fulfilment and dispatch, and the retail presence at events including Bathurst. You will report to our Managing Director and work alongside our marketing lead and the workshop and stores team, but the department is yours to run. What you will be measured on





- Direct product sales and sell-through across memorabilia and the annual merchandise drop
- Growth in collaboration and partner royalty revenue
- Store performance: conversion, average order value, abandoned carts, database growth
- Marketing efficiency - spend measured on return, not budget spent
- Event sales and retail presence

About you

- Current, hands-on e-commerce and digital marketing capability - Shopify, EDM, paid and organic social, content and imagery. This field has moved a long way in twelve months and we want someone who has moved with it and intends to keep going.
- Product and supplier management experience, ideally in merchandise, collectibles or consumer goods: costing, sampling, packaging, freight.
- Commercial judgement with brands and partners. Much of what we sell carries Red Bull, Ford or partner marks, and approvals take time. You will need to plan for that and protect the brand while you do.
- Comfortable running a small operation largely on your own: stock, fulfilment, suppliers, reporting. Practical, organised and self-directed.
- A feel for what a fan wants on the wall or the desk. You do not need a motorsport background, but you need to understand why a 2006 race suit matters.
