District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for an experienced and analytical Revenue Improvement Officer to help maximise revenue, strengthen billing practices and support the financial sustainability of our health services.

About The Opportunity

As a Revenue Improvement Officer, you will provide specialist revenue and billing expertise to help services maximise Non-Admitted Patient funding and own source revenue.

In This Role You Will

- Analyse billing and service data to identify revenue opportunities, data quality issues and potential revenue leakage.
- Provide specialist advice on Medicare, Private Health Insurance, patient billing, eligibility, out-of-pocket costs and refunds.
- Review billing practices for accuracy and compliance, including Medical Imaging terminology, relevant item and prosthesis codes.
- Monitor MBS changes and provide timely advice on impacts to billing practices, revenue and service delivery.
- Educate and support staff to improve documentation, data quality and billing practices, reducing errors and missed revenue.
- Prepare reports and work with key stakeholders to monitor revenue performance and implement sustainable improvements.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- Demonstrated experience and strong working knowledge of Medicare billing practices, MBS requirements and healthcare revenue processes.
- Experience interpreting complex healthcare billing information, ideally including Medical Imaging terminology, item/prosthesis codes, billing adjustments and refunds.




- Strong analytical skills with experience extracting, reconciling and interpreting data from multiple systems to identify errors and revenue opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to identify billing and data quality issues and develop practical solutions that improve revenue capture and compliance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to explain complex billing requirements and provide education to staff.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement within relevant policies, legislation and organisational requirements.
