This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with notice in alignment with the applicable Award. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About The Opportunity
As a Registered Nurse – Mental Health, you will play a vital role in supporting consumers, families and carers through some of their most challenging times.
Role
This position plays a key role in delivering compassionate, person-centred and recovery-focused mental health care, supporting consumers and their families to achieve positive health and wellbeing outcomes. In this role you will:
- Deliver safe, person-centred and recovery-focused mental health care.
- Assess, plan and coordinate care to support positive consumer outcomes.
- Build trusting partnerships with consumers, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide clinical leadership through effective communication, delegation and supervision.

About You We are looking for someone who has:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with authority to practise in Australia.
- Recent postgraduate clinical experience in mental health nursing and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Strong clinical, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A genuine commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and person-centred care.
- Resilience, integrity and accountability, with the ability to prioritise effectively and respond confidently to complex situations.
