Youth Focus is a trusted for purpose organisation championing the mental health needs of young people across Western Australia. Since 1994, Youth Focus has delivered mental health services for young people aged 12 to 25 and is proudly the lead agency for five headspace centres across the State. The Position:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, this is a genuinely hands-on role for a leader who can drive transformation while helping to shape the organisation’s future design.

The Chief Financial

Officer will lead a broad remit spanning finance, risk, technology and business analytics, strengthening commercial capability and business partnering so that finance is seen as a genuine partner to the business, and equipping leaders across Youth Focus to make sound decisions, optimise resources and improve outcomes.

Key priorities will include:

- Deliver strategic leadership and forward-looking financial advice to the CEO, Executive and Board
- Strengthening commercial capability and business partnering so finance is seen as a genuine partner to the business
- Leading contemporary financial management, planning, analysis and reporting that informs confident decision making
- Overseeing risk, governance, technology and cyber security & analytics across a broad and diverse remit
- Lifting the organisation’s business maturity over time through improvements to processes and systems.

About You:

You are an experienced CFO or senior finance executive with a proven track record of leading operational and cultural transformation. Bringing robust commercial judgement and a business-partnering mindset,



you are comfortable challenging and supporting your peers.

Strategic in your thinking, you will provide financial insight and advice that guides decisions today and shapes the organisation's future direction. The CFO will build credibility and trust across the Executive, Board and operational stakeholders. In addition, you are CA or CPA qualified and bring substantial senior executive leadership experience across both operational and strategic financial roles.

Candidates may come from a range of sectors, although experience in health, human services or the for-purpose sector would be highly regarded. Commercially minded and values aligned, you will have the leadership capability to bring people together around a shared purpose and support Youth Focus’s continued growth and impact for young people across Western Australia.
