About the role

Brown Recruitment Services is seeking experienced Client-Side Project Manager's to join our client's team in Brisbane. As a Client-Side Project Manager, you will deliver infrastructure and property projects across private and public sectors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget. This role is pivotal in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring project success across all phases of delivery including planning, procurement and delivery.

As the Project Manager, you will bring with you networks in your chosen area of expertise, as you will be expected to rely on relationships to bring work in as well as deliver projects. We are looking for Project Managers and Senior Project Managers, who will have skills in the following areas:

- Residential (Apartments)

- Rail

- Civil such as roads and infrastructure

- Water

- All aspects of commercial building

Key responsibilities

1. Manage project scope, programme, cost, quality and risk through the delivery lifecycle

2. Liaising with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle

3. Monitoring project budgets, schedules and resources to ensure projects remain on track and within financial parameters

4. Reviewing contract documentation, tender submissions and variations to protect the client's interests

5. Conducting regular site inspections and progress meetings to verify work quality and compliance with specifications

6. Managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns

Preparing regular project reports and documentation for client briefings and stakeholder updates

8. Resolving disputes and issues that arise during construction in a professional and timely manner

9. Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on all project sites

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years' experience as a Client Side Project Manager or similar role within the construction industry

2. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract management and project delivery processes

3. Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications

4. Ability to deliver projects and business develop

5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse parties

6. Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

7. Sound understanding of relevant construction legislation, building codes and compliance requirements

8. Professional qualification such as a degree in Construction Management, Project Management or related field

9. RPEQ and QBCC licensing are highly regarded

10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience managing projects in Queensland is advantageous
