UGL is seeking a highly organised and commercially focused Commercial Administrator to join our project team on a 15:13 site roster. Reporting to the Project Leadership Team, you will provide critical commercial and contract administration support to ensure the effective management of change notices, variations, contractual correspondence and commercial records.

You will play an integral role in supporting cost recovery, contractual compliance and project commercial performance by maintaining accurate records, coordinating commercial processes and assisting with client and subcontractor commercial submissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with the Construction Manager, Project Manager and Site Leadership Team to support project commercial objectives.
- Prepare, submit and administer client change notices, variations, compensation events and contractual claims in accordance with contract requirements.
- Maintain variation, change management and commercial correspondence registers, ensuring accurate and timely records.
- Collect, compile and maintain supporting documentation including site records, progress reports, timesheets, delay records and cost data.
- Assist in the assessment, quantification and valuation of scope changes, including labour, plant, equipment, materials and subcontractor costs.
- Monitor project activities to identify commercial risks, contractual entitlement events and scope growth opportunities.
- Prepare contractual correspondence including notifications, RFIs, notices of delay and other formal communications.




- Track variations from identification through to approval, recovery and close-out.
- Support subcontractor variation assessments and commercial evaluations.
- Assist with monthly cost reporting, forecasting, accruals and earned value activities.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with project teams, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Maintain commercial records and documentation in accordance with project procedures, contractual obligations and audit requirements.
- Contribute to commercial reports, dashboards and presentations for internal and client meetings.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commercial systems and processes.

About You You will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience supporting commercial and project delivery teams in construction, engineering, mining, maintenance or infrastructure environments.

To be successful, you will have:

- Previous experience in Commercial Administration, Contracts Administration, Project Administration or a similar role.
- Experience working on major projects within construction, resources, energy, maintenance or infrastructure sectors.
- Understanding of contract administration, change management and variation processes.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.




- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic site workplace.
