The City of Vincent is looking for an experienced communications professional to join our Marketing and Communications team.

About the role

Communications plays a key role in helping our community understand what the City is doing and why it matters. In this role you'll help inform, engage and connect residents, businesses and visitors.

As part of our collaborative Marketing and Communications team, you’ll plan and deliver communications, create content and manage day-to-day publishing across social media, website, EDMs and other channels. You’ll also support campaigns, media activity, events and community initiatives and use audience insights to continually improve our communications.





You'll work with teams across the organisation to communicate a diverse range of City projects and services, from community programs and local events to advocacy, sustainability and transport projects.

Who we’re looking for

We're looking for someone who loves finding the story behind a project, turning complex information into clear, accessible content and creating communications that people want to read.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging and accessible content
- demonstrated experience delivering communications across digital and traditional channels
- experience creating, publishing and maintaining content across websites, social media and e-newsletter platforms
- experience preparing media content and supporting proactive and reactive media activity
- strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- well-developed stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
- photography and basic video-production experience
- a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or a related discipline
- a current C class driver’s licence

Experience in local government or another publicly accountable environment will be highly regarded.
