About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Community Engagement & Partnerships Officer with our Community and Cultural Connections Unit in Hervey Bay. This is a full time, fixed term role until 30 June 2027. The role is to support community engagement activities that strengthen awareness of services, community connections and referral opportunities across the Butchulla Country (Fraser Coast).

On a day-today basis you will:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, stakeholders and service partners.

- Develop referral pathways and strengthen community connections to support service delivery.

- Contribute to partnership and engagement activities coordinated by the Unit.





- Represent the organisation through participation in local networks, meetings, forums and engagement activities.

- Promote IMPACT services and programs within the community to increase awareness and access.

- Maintain accurate stakeholder records and assist with reporting and administrative requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will:

- Experience working within community services, child and family services, mental health services or related sectors (highly desirable).

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with community members, organisations and stakeholders.

- Ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

- Effective time management and organisational skills.

- Ability to maintain accurate records and information.

- Ability to exercise tact, judgement and maintain confidentiality.

- Understanding of QLD Health and Education Qld department guidelines and referral processes.

- Knowledge of the Fraser Coast community and local service system.
