About the Role

APAA is seeking a Volunteer Content and Social Media Coordinator to join its Profile and Communications Working Group. This Melbourne-based hybrid role will support APAA’s existing digital marketing channels, create engaging content and assist with communications and events. It is well suited to someone seeking practical marketing experience and qualified connections within the property and corporate sectors.

The role requires a adaptable commitment of approximately 3–6 hours per week. Main tasks can be completed remotely, with occasional attendance at in-person meetings and events.

Key Responsibilities In this role, you will:

- Plan, create and publish engaging content across APAA’s digital channels, with a strong focus on short-form video
- Develop and support social media campaigns across LinkedIn, Instagram, RED (Xiaohongshu) and other relevant platforms
- Maintain APAA’s website, email newsletters and digital content calendar
- Monitor audience behaviour, platform trends and best practices to inform content and campaign direction
- Create and edit marketing materials, including copy, graphics, videos and event promotions
- Support the planning, promotion and delivery of APAA events, projects and member-engagement initiatives
- Coordinate tasks and timelines while collaborating with APAA committee members, Advisory Board members, volunteers, partners and other stakeholders

About You





We welcome applicants with a genuine interest in property, marketing, communications and content creation. The following qualifications and experience are desirable:

- Experience creating digital content and supporting social media campaigns for a corporate, professional or brand audience
- Strong copywriting, proofreading and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on content-production skills, particularly filming and editing short-form video
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, RED (Xiaohongshu), Humanitix, email marketing systems and website content management
- Basic graphic design skills; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous but not essential
- The ability to coordinate projects, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Relevant study, qualifications or experience in marketing, communications, design, property, architecture, business or a related field
- Experience in a marketing agency or property-related environment will be highly regarded.
