Bakery Production Assistant – Cookie Dough Portioning The Confectionist Bakery is a Melbourne-based bakery specialising in loaded cookies, beautifully iced biscuits and other delicious treats.

Our loaded cookie range includes 6 core flavours, plus 2 exciting flavours that change every week - so there's always something current in the kitchen!

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Bakery Production Assistant to join our production team in Altona North. The main responsibility of this role is portioning freshly made cookie dough by accurately weighing and shaping each cookie, ready for baking.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include

- Accurately weighing, portioning and shaping cookie dough

- Preparing fillings and other cookie components

- Using a Piping Bag to fill cookies at a high volume

- Completing general food-preparation tasks

- Keeping benches, equipment and production areas clean

- Washing dishes and assisting with general kitchen cleaning

- Following recipes,



food-safety procedures and production standards

- Working efficiently to meet daily production targets

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

- Enjoys practical, hands-on work

- Can work quickly while maintaining accuracy and consistency

- Is comfortable completing repetitive tasks

- Has strong attention to detail

- Is reliable, punctual and works well within a team

- Can stay organised in a busy production kitchen

- Takes pride in maintaining a clean workspace

Schedule

- Monday - Friday

- Within the hours of 8am - 5:30pm

Previous bakery, kitchen or food-production experience would be helpful, but a positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are most important.
