Yama Tiling is a growing Melbourne tiling and stone business with our own in-house fabrication (bridge saw and waterjet). We deliver high-quality tiling, stone and paving across residential and commercial projects - and we're scaling up. We're looking for a sharp, motivated Estimator to join our team and grow with the business.
The Role
You'll prepare accurate take-offs and quotes for tiling and stone projects, working from drawings and specifications to win the right work at the right margin. This is a hands-on estimating role with genuine room to grow for the right person.
What you'll do
Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotes for tiling, stone and paving projects
Complete detailed take-offs from drawings and specifications
Read and interpret plans, tenders and specs - capturing full scope, nothing missed
Price to our rate card and protect margin on every job
Liaise with builders, suppliers and subcontractors
Submit quotes on time and keep our estimating system up to date
What we're looking for
Proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, and Excel - this is essential
Experience estimating in tiling, stone, flooring, or a related construction trade
Strong attention to detail and accuracy - you don't miss scope
Valuable numbers sense and the ability to work to deadlines
Clear communicator who works well in a team
Eager to learn and grow
