Enterprise Architect - Risk & Strategy Principal

LTM Australia is partnering with a leading Australian bank undertaking a major review and transformation of its Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) technology landscape.

We are seeking a senior Enterprise Architect to assess a complex ecosystem of risk, compliance, audit and governance platforms, define a future-state architecture, and develop a practical roadmap for simplification, consolidation and modernisation.

The environment consists of a diverse portfolio of SaaS, vendor and internally developed applications supporting Risk, Compliance, Audit and Governance functions across the organisation. Existing challenges include duplicated capabilities, fragmented data, complex integrations, inconsistent workflows and growing operational overhead.

As the Lead Architect, you will

- Conduct an enterprise-wide assessment of the current technology landscape, operating model and application portfolio.
- Map business capabilities, data flows, integrations,



dependencies and pain points across the risk ecosystem.
- Evaluate platform effectiveness, technical debt, duplication and opportunities for rationalisation.
- Define target-state architecture, integration patterns and enterprise data strategy.
- Develop recommendations for platform consolidation, retirement, replacement or modernisation.
- Build executive-level business cases, transformation roadmaps and investment strategies.
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Compliance and Audit functions.

Essential Experience

- Enterprise-wide architecture reviews and current-state assessments.
- Application portfolio rationalisation and technology consolidation initiatives.
- Target-state architecture, enterprise strategy and transformation planning.
- Large-scale modernisation, migration and platform retirement programs.
- Enterprise integration, API, data and application architecture.
- Executive stakeholder engagement at CIO, CRO and Board level.

Risk Technology & GRC Expertise

Deep experience across Risk, Compliance, Audit and Governance technology environments within large Banking and Financial Services organisations.



You'll have a strong understanding of Financial Risk, Non-Financial Risk, Operational Risk, Technology Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit, together with experience working across enterprise GRC platforms such as IBM OpenPages, ServiceNow, Archer and related risk management solutions.

The ideal candidate will have led large-scale assessments of enterprise application estates, reviewing business capabilities, operating models, data architecture and integration patterns to identify opportunities for simplification and transformation. You'll understand how risk platforms interact across the broader organisation and be capable of defining future-state architectures, consolidation strategies and decommissioning roadmaps that improve governance, reporting, automation and operational efficiency.

This role would suit someone who can walk into a complex banking environment, assess a large and fragmented risk technology landscape, and provide a explicit strategic direction on what should be integrated, consolidated, modernised or retired to support the bank's future operating model.
