Role Description The Event Coordinator is a part-time, on-site role based in the Greater Sydney Area, responsible for planning and executing educational seminars and workshops. This position manages event logistics, including venue coordination, scheduling, setup and breakdown, and on-the-day operations to ensure smooth delivery of all sessions.
The role involves liaising with speakers, partners, and participants, handling inquiries, and providing a welcoming, supportive experience for attendees.
The Event
Coordinator tracks registrations,
supports promotional activities, and assists with post-event feedback and reporting to improve future events. Collaboration with the core team to align events with the organization’s mission and standards is an essential part of the day-to-day work.
Qualifications
- Strong event planning and event management skills, including coordinating logistics, timelines, and resources.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to engage parents, caregivers, partners, and vendors professionally.
- Experience with sales or outreach activities, such as promoting events, managing registrations, and supporting attendee growth.
- Ability to work in office in the Greater Sydney Area, manage multiple tasks, and remain calm and organized during live events.
- Prior experience in community events, education, child safety, or nonprofit environments is beneficial.
- Competence with basic digital tools for scheduling, registration, and communication (e.g., email platforms, spreadsheets, event software).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as required by event schedules.
- Demonstrated commitment to child safety, inclusivity, and respectful engagement with diverse families and communities.
