Alice Springs Airport is seeking a proactive and hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, compliance, and ongoing improvement of critical airport infrastructure and assets. About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Airport Operations - Regional, you will play a key role in ensuring the airport's facilities and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose.

This is a diverse position that balances strategic planning with practical, on-the-ground management, requiring strong stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage airport infrastructure and asset maintenance programs
- Develop and implement planned and preventative maintenance schedules
- Lead facilities and service contracts, ensuring performance and compliance requirements are met
- Deliver capital works and improvement projects safely, on time, and within budget
- Monitor asset performance and contribute to long-term asset lifecycle planning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, tenants, stakeholders, and service providers
- Ensure compliance with aviation, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Support budget development and cost management initiatives




- Promote a solid safety culture through effective risk identification and management

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Essential Skills & Experience

- Tertiary qualification or trade background in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, Construction, Electrical, Civil, or similar
- Demonstrated experience in facilities management, asset management, project management, and contract management
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Proven ability to manage contractors and multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent financial, budgeting, and commercial acumen
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a broader management team
- High proficiency across Microsoft Office applications
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

Highly Regarded

- Previous experience in airports, aviation, transport infrastructure, utilities, or other highly regulated operational environments
- Knowledge of airport operations, aviation compliance, and safety frameworks
