Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Facilities Handyman / Maintenance Technician role based in New South Wales, Australia. The role involves carrying out general maintenance and repairs across UKO’s apartment blocks, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and minor fixture repairs. The technician will complete routine inspections of common areas and apartments, respond to maintenance requests from residents and building managers, and ensure all work is performed safely and to a high standard.

Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with property managers and contractors,



maintaining tools and equipment, troubleshooting building issues, and keeping accurate records of repairs and maintenance schedules. The role also supports the overall resident experience by ensuring that facilities are clean, functional, and well-presented.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common facilities issues efficiently, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, safe use of tools and equipment, and compliance with relevant building and workplace regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with residents, colleagues, and external contractors.
- Good time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently across multiple sites.
- Previous experience in residential property, hospitality, or facilities management is highly regarded.
- Relevant trade qualification, facilities or maintenance certification, or equivalent practical experience is an advantage.
- Current driver’s license and the ability to travel between properties in New South Wales as required.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, community-focused environment and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
