This role is within our Airport Facilities division who are responsible for the maintenance of all BAC assets and infrastructure across the 2700-hectare precinct.

About the role

Reporting to the Building Facilities Team Leader, the Facilities Coordinator - IOC is responsible for the efficient management of facilities across Brisbane Airport's diverse asset portfolio, ensuring all works meet technical, compliance and safety standards. Working closely with the Integrated Operations Centre, you'll support operational continuity across terminals, airside and landside environments while helping deliver an exceptional experience for passengers, customers and stakeholders.

Key focus areas Include:

- Coordinating preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance activities across critical airport assets and infrastructure.
- Managing contractor performance and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.
- Monitoring and supporting building systems including HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, fire, BMS, access control and vertical transport systems.
- Undertaking inspections and asset condition assessments across terminals, plant rooms, leased premises and operational areas.




- Contributing to lifecycle planning, budgeting activities, continuous improvement initiatives and long-term asset performance.

This role operates on a rotating roster spanning up to 20 hours per day, 7 days per week, including public holidays, and attracts shift-based allowances in recognition of operational requirements.

About You

You are an experienced facilities professional with a strong background managing complex assets, contractors and building systems within a energetic operational environment. You're proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable making decisions, building relationships and finding smarter ways of working. With strong technical knowledge, systems capability and a customer-focused mindset, you thrive in roles where no two days are the same.

To be successful, you'll bring:

- Experience managing facilities, maintenance programs and contractor-delivered services in a complex asset environment.
- Technical knowledge of building services including HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, fire and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using CMMS platforms such as Maximo or similar.
- A proactive approach to safety, compliance, continuous improvement and innovation.

Highly regarded:
- Qualifications in Facilities, Property or Asset Management.
- Experience in airports, transport infrastructure, hospitals, universities, retail centres or other high public-access environments.
- Exposure to budgeting, lifecycle planning and capital works.
