Hi Spec Build is a growing construction company based in Port Macquarie, and we're looking for an experienced Accounts & Office Administrator to join our team.

This is a flexible part time position of approximately 20–30 hours per week, with flexibility around working hours. We are happy to accommodate school hours for the right person.

About the Role

The role will involve a combination of accounts, bookkeeping and general office administration, including:

- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bookkeeping and account reconciliations
- Processing invoices and payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- General office administration and support
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
- Assisting with day-to-day administration of the business
- Other administrative tasks as required

About You

We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Experienced in bookkeeping and accounts
- Experienced with Xero
- Tech savvy and confident learning new software
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Proactive and willing to take ownership of their work




- Comfortable working in a small business environment

Experience & Skills

Essential:

- Previous accounts/bookkeeping experience
- Xero experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Valuable computer and technology skills
- Good communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

- Experience in the construction industry
- Experience with construction accounting or subcontractor/supplier accounts
- An interest in learning construction CRM's and estimating software

Construction industry experience is a bonus, but it is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone who is capable, organised, tech savvy and keen to learn.
