About the role

Pine Rivers Crane Hire Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Franna Crane Operator to join our team on a full time basis. Based in Brendale, QLD 4500, this role is central to our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Franna crane fleet on construction sites throughout Queensland. As a Franna Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating mobile cranes to lift, move and position heavy materials and equipment, playing a vital role in keeping our construction projects on schedule and within safety parameters.

Key responsibilities

- Operate Franna cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes to ensure all safety systems and mechanical components are functioning correctly
- Assess load weights, rigging requirements and site conditions before commencing any lifting operations
- Communicate effectively with ground personnel, signallers and other team members to ensure safe coordination during lifting activities
- Position cranes accurately and operate controls with precision to place loads in designated locations
- Maintain detailed records of crane operations, hours worked and any incidents or maintenance issues encountered
- Adhere strictly to weight limits, safety protocols and environmental regulations on all job sites
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and report any mechanical faults or safety concerns immediately
- Contribute to a positive safety culture by actively participating in toolbox meetings and safety training

What we're looking for

- Current High Risk Work (HRW) Licence or White Card for Franna crane operation (or the ability to obtain one)
- Proven experience operating Franna cranes on construction sites, with a minimum of 2-3 years in general hire
- Thorough understanding of load charts, rigging techniques and crane safety procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with site supervisors,



signallers and other operatives
- Excellent spatial awareness and the ability to make sound judgement decisions regarding load positioning and site hazards
- Commitment to health and safety practices, with a genuine dedication to maintaining a safe work environment
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work on multiple job sites as required
- A valid driver's licence is advantageous
