General Manager - West Coast Operations

Perth, WA An outstanding opportunity exists for an accomplished General Manager to lead the Western Australian operations of a highly regarded Australian manufacturing business with a long-standing reputation for quality, innovation and customer excellence.

With a strong market position, established national footprint and ambitious growth agenda, the business designs, manufactures and delivers premium solutions across residential, commercial and industrial markets. Built on a foundation of performance, reliability and continuous improvement, the organisation is now seeking a commercially astute leader to drive the next phase of growth and operational excellence across Western Australia.

Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you will have full accountability for the performance of the West Coast business, leading manufacturing, distribution, customer service, sales and field operations while delivering robust financial, operational and cultural outcomes.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine leadership role offering end-to-end responsibility for a significant business unit. You will be responsible for developing and executing the WA business strategy, driving operational performance, strengthening customer relationships and building a high-performing culture focused on accountability, safety and continuous improvement.

You will play a critical role in identifying growth opportunities, optimising operational efficiency and ensuring the business continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Commercial Performance

- Develop and execute the West Coast business strategy aligned with national objectives.




- Deliver sustainable revenue growth, profitability and market expansion.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
- Drive commercial decision-making through strong financial and operational analysis.

Operational Excellence

- Lead end-to-end operations across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and customer delivery.
- Improve productivity, efficiency, quality and service performance.
- Embed continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve throughput and enhance customer outcomes.
- Ensure facilities, assets and equipment are maintained to support operational reliability.
- Drive performance against key operational metrics including quality, delivery and cost.

People Leadership

- Build, mentor and develop an engaged, high-performing leadership team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Lead workforce planning, capability development and talent management initiatives.
- Champion workplace safety and wellbeing across all operations.
- Create an environment that attracts, develops and retains top talent.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

- Build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and strategic partners.
- Support business development initiatives across builder,



reseller and industrial channels.
- Ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the organisation across the WA market and broader industry networks.

About You To be successful in this role you will bring:

- Proven experience as a General Manager, State Manager, Operations Manager or equivalent senior leadership position.
- A strong background within manufacturing, distribution, building products, construction, industrial services or a related sector.
- Demonstrated success leading diverse operational teams and delivering commercial results.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L; performance and strategic planning.
- A track record of driving operational improvement and organisational growth.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A genuine commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
