ABOUT THE COMPANY:

ABD Poultry is an Australian owned family business that has been supplying high quality chicken and other poultry products for over 35 years. ABD Poultry is located in Hemmant which is about a 20 minute drive from the Brisbane CBD.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

ABD Poultry is seeking drivers to deliver chilled and frozen poultry products to our valued customers on time. This is NOT a pallet on, forklift pallet off job. Product must be physically unloaded and delivered to our customers.

Therefore the applicant must possess a sound level of fitness and be able to lift up to 22kg. This is a casual position which requires you to work from Monday to Friday starting from 7:00am onwards. Work hours will usually be 40 hours per week and the average number of deliveries will vary from day to day.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENT:

1. Possess a current Medium Rigid (MR) licence or be prepared to get an MR licence immediately if hired (we can assist in facilitating this).

CRITICAL REQUIREMENT:

1. Must be able to do deliveries in a timely manner.
2. Must be fit with no existing injury.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.



Must have a good geographical knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas;
2. Must demonstrate moderate knowledge of Brisbane's geographical layout and surrounding areas;
3. Must be well presented;
4. Honesty is essential as there is some cash handling involved;
5. Must have positive communication and customer service skills;
6. Must have the ability to work under pressure and remain calm and courteous when dealing with difficult customers;
7. Must be an early starter who likes to be active;
8. Must be self-motivated with an excellent work ethic;
9. Must have a sense of urgency;
10. Must be punctual and reliable;
11. Be fit and healthy, with the ability to be able to perform repetitive manual lifting;
12. Must have the ability to follow directions and also think for yourself;
13. Must be able to work independently; and
14. Must be a permanent resident of Australia or have no work restrictions on current Visa.
