Role Description The Dental Hygienist is a part-time, on-site role based in Margaret River, WA. The role involves performing thorough dental prophylaxis procedures, including scaling, polishing, and removal of plaque and calculus. Day-to-day tasks include assessing patients’ oral health, identifying signs of periodontal disease, providing preventive dental care, and supporting the dentist in comprehensive treatment plans.

The Dental

Hygienist will offer patient education on hygiene techniques, diet, and home care routines, maintain accurate clinical records, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.



Collaboration with the wider clinical team and contribution to a positive patient experience are essential aspects of this role. Hours are adaptable, with the option to work school hours only.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational knowledge and practical skills in Dentistry and Dental Care.
- Demonstrated expertise in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis procedures.
- Ability to assess, manage, and monitor Periodontal Disease within scope of practice.
- Current registration or eligibility to register with the relevant dental board or authority in Australia.
- Formal qualification in Dental Hygiene or equivalent, with appropriate certifications in infection control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment and manage time efficiently.
- Experience in a general dental practice setting and familiarity with dental software are beneficial.
