Disability Support Workers

Quilly is looking for caring, reliable and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

Positions are available across the Gold Coast, including Upper Coomera, Coomera and Pimpama.

First Nations support workers are strongly encouraged to apply. We also welcome applications from support workers with experience in mental health, psychosocial disability and trauma-informed care.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide respectful, person-centred support to people living with disability.

Your responsibilities may include

- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities

- Supporting community access and social participation

- Providing medication assistance in accordance with individual plans

- Supporting participants’ emotional health and wellbeing

- Encouraging independence, choice and decision-making

- Following behaviour support, health and individual support plans

- Completing clear and accurate shift notes and incident reports

- Working collaboratively with participants, families and other professionals

About You

We are looking for people who are compassionate, dependable and committed to providing high-quality support.

To be considered, you will need:

- A caring, patient and respectful approach

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A current Australian driver licence and reliable vehicle

- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications





- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or an equivalent qualification
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
- A Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one

- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete accurate documentation

Experience or training in the following areas will be highly regarded:

- Mental health and psychosocial disability

- Trauma-informed and recovery-oriented support

- Positive behaviour support and complex behaviours

- Diabetes management

- Supported Independent Living

- Community access and participation
