Work for a leading financial firm that's experiencing unprecedented growth! As they continue to expand and scale their organisation they are looking for skilled Software Engineer sto improve existing processes and develop current tools for the internal teams to improve organisational efficiency.

This engineer will sit and be embedded within the Front Office Trading department, so experience working with Portfolio Managers, Traders etc is mandatory.

What's a typical day look like?

- On-going optimisation of the performance of automated processes
- Implement maintainable solutions to increase organisational efficiency
- Designing, building, and testing new tools.
- Onboard and integrate APIs from 3rd party sources.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure new tools and systems meet quality, security, and performance standards.




- Stakeholder engagement across departments identifying needs and use cases for business optimisation.

About you:

- 5 years of experience in process Improvement engineering roles, ideally experienced with automation or intelligent systems.
- Proficiency in Python & SQL with an understanding of how these apply to data-driven solutions.
- Experienced in Financial Services, or development of custom tooling for departments such as Marketing, Legal, Finance and Human resources.
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate with users cross-departmentally
- Experience within Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), CICD, Docker would be advantageous.
- Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.
