The Position:

n

TheAssistant Principal Religious Education (APRE) / Religious Education Coordinator (REC)shares responsibility with the Principal for spiritual and theological leadership, faith formation, and embedding Catholic and local Aboriginal perspectives across the curriculum. This executive role leads Religious Education, liturgy, faith formation, and Catholic identity, and is open to practising Catholics committed to the Catholic faith.

Key Responsibilities:

n

The APRE/Religious Education Coordinator will:

n

n
- Lead the development and implementation of the Religious Education curriculum, including 'Journey in Faith, and the Made in the Image of God'Human Sexuality Program.
n
- Work collaboratively with staff to support effective planning, delivery, and evaluation of Religious Education teaching and learning.
n
- Coordinate and lead liturgies, prayer, and faith celebrations for students and staff.
n
- Support the parish in the leadership and implementation of Sacramental preparation programs.
n
- Lead the development and delivery of formation programs for students and staff.
n
- Promote and encourage ongoing professional development and faith formation opportunities for staff.
n
- Provide leadership in meeting accreditation requirements and strengthening Catholic identity across the school.

Hold a Graduate Certificate in Religious Education and be completing, or willing to work towards, a Master's degree in Religious Education, Theology, or Catholic Educational Leadership (or equivalent).
