About the role:
n
Supporting the Senior Corporate Finance Manager, Hotels & Resorts, this role is hands on and broad in scope, covering financial reporting and taxation across EVT's hospitality and leisure businesses in Australia and Current Zealand. You'll co-ordinate, review and assist with financial accounting, reporting, tax and general administrative compliance, with a strong focus on the corporate function while supporting both hotel operations and EVT Corporate.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Own the month end close: review and reconcile balance sheets, prepare journals and provide variance commentary on profit and loss and balance sheet movements
n
- Maintain and review fixed asset registers for hotel assets, from capital expenditure and work in progress through to disposals, transfers and write offs
n
- Support tax and compliance obligations, including income tax, GST, FBT and payroll tax, tax reconciliations and tax effect accounting
n
- Prepare notes and workpapers for statutory reporting and coordinate interim and year end audits with external auditors
n
- Act as a trusted finance partner to hotel operations and corporate stakeholders, helping them understand financial results and reporting requirements
n
- Assist with short and long term cashflow forecasting and monitor weekly cash positions across the business
n
- Contribute to finance transformation, system implementation and broader business improvement initiatives
n

What you'll bring
n
n
- CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion
n
- Five or more years of corporate and financial accounting experience
n
- Demonstrated experience in statutory reporting, taxation compliance and audit management
n
- Experience with fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure management
n
- Experience in hospitality, property or multi site operations is preferred but not required
n
- Exposure to New Zealand, Singaporean and Thai accounting and tax jurisdictions is highly regarded
n
