Supported Independent Living Support Worker

This is an opportunity to join a reliable permanent part-time roster supporting participants across Supported Indendent Living (SIL) and Respite (STA). You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents; supporting them in living the life they choose.

Key Responsibilities

n

Using a person-centred approach support residents' personal care and wellbeing as required, with dignity and respect. This may include Physical assistance with the following:

n

- Assistance with all areas of personal care including feeding, toileting, bathing and grooming
n
- Transfer/hoisting between toilet, wheelchair, motor vehicle, bed etc.
n
- Assistance to participate in activities
n
- Transporting clients
n
- Assisting participants with meal planning, preparation and cooking
n
- Domestic assistance
n
- Support residents' safety and rights at all times.
n
- Respond to clients needs including behavioural support and emergencies
n
- Complete notes documentation and incident reporting.
n




- Administer medication in line with procedures and training provided.
n
- Support clients with their nighttime and morning routines.
n
- Perform household and domestic duties within the SIL home as required and as per directed cleaning schedules.
n
- Support life skills development and community participation activities for residents.
n

What We Are Looking For

n

n
- Current National Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
n
- Experience supporting people with disability, ideally in a SIL or overnight setting
n
- Sound understanding of person-centred practice and positive behaviour supportAbility to work independently and respond calmly under pressure
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
n
- Ability to work overnight shifts (at least 2 per week & including weekends)
n
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion
