Our client is an established and successful Australian owned business with a strong reputation within its specialist industry. The business has been operating for many years and supplies technical equipment and solutions across a range of commercial and industrial sectors.

About the role

n

We are looking for an Accountant to take ownership of the day to day accounting function.

n

Reporting directly to the COO, this is a hands on position covering the full range of business as usual accounting responsibilities, while also providing Management with accurate financial reporting and commercial information.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
- General ledger management and reconciliations
n
- Month end and year end processes
n
- Bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
n
- Invoicing and debtor management
n
- BAS, GST and other statutory reporting
n
- Weekly payroll for approximately 20 employees
n

The business uses Pronto, or a similar ERP system experience will be highly regarded

n

About you

n

We are looking for an experienced Accountant who enjoys being hands on and taking ownership.

n

n
- CPA qualification or be working towards CPA
n
- Robust experience across AR, AP and general ledger
n
- Payroll experience, ideally for a small to medium sized workforce
n
- Experience with BAS, GST and financial reporting
n
- Strong reconciliation and financial accounting skills
n
- Full Australian working rights
n
- Availability to commence ASAP
n
