The Role

Responsibilities

As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality food service, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of a commercial kitchen. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and presenting food to a consistently high standard
- Adhering to all HSE policies, procedures, and safe food handling practices
- Accommodating dietary requirements, including allergies and special guest requests
- Managing stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking
- Maintaining a clean, organised kitchen, along with all equipment and utensils
- Creating dishes of exceptional quality that nourish and delight our guests
- Delivering fast, effective service with a positive and professional attitude
- Assisting in overseeing kitchen employees, including training and performance development

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

- Previous Head Chef experience within a similar commercial workplace
- Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Proven experience with electronic purchase ordering and cost management
- Proven experience in planning and developing menus




- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both within a team and autonomously
- Strong ability to prepare and organise tasks ahead of service
- HACCP experience is essential, with a strong emphasis on food hygiene standards
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required)
- Current First Aid Certificate (highly desirable)
- Experience with Cooking The Books software (highly desirable)
- Current driver's licence
