About the Role

If you are passionate about building a positive safety culture, partnering with leaders and turning insights into practical improvements, this role is for you! The role is based onsite 5 days per week with working hours 8am- 4pm.

Reporting to the HSW Lead, the HSW Advisor will act as a strategic Health, Safety and Wellbeing business partner, providing practical advice and support to leaders, managers and employees across strategic and operational HSW matters.

You will use business insights, HSW data and sound judgement to address risks, support improvement initiatives and enable the effective application of the TTIANZ HSW Management System. You will also support site-based injury and claims management, including return-to-work coordination and suitable duties.

Responsibilities

- Promote a positive HSW culture that supports employee engagement, wellbeing, productivity and proactive risk ownership
- Coach leaders, managers and employees on risk management, incident prevention,



wellbeing and continuous improvement
- Partner with business leaders and People & Culture to deliver targeted HSW initiatives aligned with business priorities
- Understand operational priorities, risks and commercial drivers, and translate these into practical HSW strategies
- Use HSW data, operational insights and performance trends to influence priorities and identify improvement opportunities
- Translate legislative, regulatory and industry requirements into clear and practical guidance
- Develop, maintain and continually improve HSW tools, procedures, programmes and supporting guidance
- Support HSW Management System governance, document control, audits and the review of system content and records
- Provide practical and commercially focused advice that supports safe, efficient and sustainable operations
- Contribute to HSW reporting and insights that help leaders understand performance, trends, risks and improvement actions
- Support injury and claims management, including incident follow-up, communication, suitable duties and return-to-work coordination
- Liaise with injured team members, leaders, treating practitioners, insurers and claims agents where required

What You Bring

- A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Sound knowledge of the Model WHS Act, relevant regulations and applicable codes of practice
- Experience as an HSW generalist and business partner across strategic and operational health, safety and wellbeing matters
- Experience supporting injury and claims management, including incident follow-up, return-to-work coordination, suitable duties and stakeholder liaison
- Solid communication, influencing and interpersonal skills across a range of stakeholders and audiences
- Sound analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Business acumen and a commercial approach to aligning HSW strategies with business objectives
- Experience supporting organisational change and improving workplace practices
- The ability to use data, insights and performance trends to guide strategies and decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
- Strong attention to detail and well-developed organisational skills
- Distribution centre experience and knowledge would be advantageous
- A collaborative, inclusive and continuous improvement mindset
