About the role The HR Supervisor leads and oversees an assigned Payroll Team in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing, while fostering team development and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations within a high-volume and deadline-driven environment.
About you To be successful, you will:
- Have strong organisational skills to oversee the smooth execution of core HR services such as payroll, leave administration, staff onboarding and exits, maintenance of employment records, superannuation matters, and debt recovery to keep operations running efficiently.
- Demonstrate the ability to offer reliable guidance and support to staff members regarding employment terms, benefits, HR systems, and procedures.
- Have leadership qualities, including the capacity to mentor and develop team members, fostering an workplace of continuous growth.
- Be able to evaluate workforce and payroll data to spot patterns or challenges, recommend solutions, and proactively manage risks alongside the HR Lead.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Business Administration or a relevant discipline or demonstrated successful experience in stakeholder/customer engagement in a Shared Services/Payroll environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
