Role Description The HSET Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenbushes, WA. This position is responsible for supporting and improving health, safety, environment, and training practices across civil construction projects, working closely with site teams and leadership. Day-to-day activities include conducting site inspections and audits, facilitating risk assessments and toolbox meetings, monitoring compliance with legislation and company procedures, and assisting with incident reporting and investigations.

The HSET Advisor will develop and deliver training and awareness programs, maintain HSET documentation and records,



and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes. The role involves actively engaging with supervisors, workforce members, and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture and effective environmental management on all project sites.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in HSET advisory or similar roles within civil construction, mining, or heavy industry.
- Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline (Certificate IV or higher preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Western Australian WHS legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, and developing corrective actions.
- Experience delivering safety and environmental training, inductions, and toolbox talks to diverse work groups.
- Ability to interpret and implement HSET management systems, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build positive relationships on site.
- Competence in using standard office and HSET software (e.g., MS Office, reporting tools) and maintaining accurate records.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Current driver’s license and ability to work in regional and remote project environments.
- Construction or mining industry cards/certifications (e.g., White Card) and other relevant site access requirements are advantageous.
