About the role

This is a full-time role offered on a 10-month fixed-term contract.

The IT Support Officer is a key member of Nucleus Network’s Information Technology team, providing responsive day-to-day support and helping maintain secure, reliable and efficient technology services across the organisation.

In this role, you will resolve IT requests and incidents, configure hardware and software, administer Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, manage user accounts and workstations, monitor security systems, and support the performance of network, cloud and infrastructure services.

Working alongside a collaborative and experienced team, you will support employees across different departments, contribute to a solid security and service culture, and help ensure systems remain available, compliant and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day IT support, responding to service tickets and ad hoc requests while maintaining agreed service levels.

- Review computer systems and troubleshoot hardware, software, LAN and WAN issues to keep technology operating efficiently.

- Set up and configure user accounts, workstations, hardware and software, and conduct IT inductions for new employees.

- Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint, cloud services and other technology tools.

- Monitor Webroot and other security systems, take appropriate action when required, and support the security and reliability of IT infrastructure.

- Coordinate patch management and maintain the IT systems critical register.

- Work with technology vendors and contribute to continuous improvement of IT services, systems and processes.

- Maintain required learning and development compliance and undertake infrequent interstate travel when required.

Requirements

- A qualification or educational background in Information Technology.

- Hands-on familiarity with Windows operating systems, hardware and software configuration, and troubleshooting across LAN and WAN environments.

- Strong Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration knowledge, with exposure to Microsoft Azure.

- Knowledge of security systems, firewalls, switches, endpoint monitoring and patch management.

- Resourceful problem-solving skills, sound objective analysis and a strong service focus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support stakeholders across the organisation.

- Vendor management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

- Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Teams, web hosting or Part 11 compliance would be advantageous.
