Located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Robata is a contemporary Japanese restaurant inspired by the centuries-old tradition of cooking over charcoal. Centred around our open robatayaki grill, our menu combines premium Australian produce, Japanese flavours and a modern approach to dining, all delivered in a vibrant, fast-paced setting.

Who We Are

By joining Robata, you become part of The San Telmo Group – one of Melbourne’s established independent hospitality groups. Founded in 2011, the Group operates six unique venues across Melbourne and Brisbane: San Telmo, Palermo, Asado, Pastuso, Robata and San Telmo Brisbane.

Position Available

Casual Kitchen Hand – Restaurant Award Level 1

Monday–Friday: $33.05 per hour

Saturday: $39.66 per hour

Sunday: $39.66 per hour

Public Holidays: $66.10 per hour

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

- Keeping the kitchen running smoothly through dishwashing, cleaning and maintaining organised kitchen and wash-up areas

- Supporting the kitchen team with basic food preparation, deliveries, storage and general kitchen duties as required

- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene throughout busy services

What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen hand or hospitality experience is preferred, but a strong attitude and willingness to learn are just as important

- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen workplace and maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
