Role Description

This is a remote, contract role for a Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer specializing in drafting and documentation. The role involves preparing detailed landscape plans, construction documentation, and technical drawings using industry standard software.

Responsibilities include interpreting design briefs, coordinating with the principal designer, refining layouts and planting plans, and ensuring drawings align with local standards and build requirements. The position also includes preparing schedules, specifications, and documentation packages for builders and architects, while maintaining consistent file organization and quality control. The designer will collaborate via digital tools, manage deadlines, and communicate progress clearly and professionally.





Qualifications

- Proficiency in landscape drafting and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Revit, or similar) and solid technical drawing skills.
- Experience in residential landscape design, including layouts, hardscape detailing, and planting plans.
- Understanding of construction documentation standards, materials, and buildability for outdoor spaces.
- Robust design communication skills, including the ability to interpret briefs and translate concepts into clear documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
- Relevant qualification in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a closely related field.
- Experience collaborating with builders, architects, and developers is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of Australian standards and local regulations for residential landscape projects is an advantage.

Experience with NSW residential DAs/CDC documentation is highly regarded.
