About The Role:

Join our City Maintenance team and make a visible difference in the community every day. As a Labourer Signage, you’ll play an important role in ensuring Council signage and traffic management infrastructure remains secure, compliant and well maintained across the City. From installing new signage and renewing ageing assets to supporting construction and maintenance programs, you'll enjoy a diverse role that combines practical outdoor work with operating plant and equipment and implementing traffic management solutions.

You'll be part of a collaborative team that values safety, quality and continuous improvement, while contributing to projects that enhance the experience and safety of residents, businesses and visitors throughout the community.

About You:

You’re a practical, reliable and safety conscious team player who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering high quality work. Whether your experience comes from signage, civil maintenance, construction or a similar field, you bring a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety and a willingness to contribute to a team-oriented team environment.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

- Experience installing, maintaining and repairing signage, traffic management devices or similar infrastructure.
- Practical experience undertaking civil construction, maintenance or asset renewal activities.
- Experience operating plant, equipment and vehicles associated with construction and maintenance works.
- The ability to safely implement traffic management controls and work effectively in operational environments.
- The ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Well developed communication skills and a customer focused approach.




- A strong understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements and protected work practices.
- Confidence using technology and computer systems for communication, reporting and record keeping.
- A current White Card and unrestricted Driver's Licence.

About Our Team:

City Maintenance are equipped to care for open spaces across our beaches, reserves and parks, ensuring they are maintained and up to standard. This diverse portfolio is passionate and skilled in areas including property management and repair, irrigation, biodiversity, arboriculture, trees and sports turf, as well as program scheduling.





Civil and Property Maintenance comprises a range of teams that contribute to maintaining our roads, streets and buildings to ensure safety for our community. This includes the maintenance and repair of essential amenities through concreting, grinding, line marking, paving, drainage and street signage.

The Detail:

The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis and is classified at Grade ME6, with a starting salary of $80,426.73 per annum Super. The advantages of joining the City of Charles Sturt also include:
