Lead Cost Controller

Perth, WA | 3-Year Maximum Term Contract

Lead all cost control activities for the critical Ichthys Phase 2C Offshore Project.

At INPEX, our energy is helping to shape a brighter future. We're looking for an experienced Lead Cost Controller to join our Development team and play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of one of our key offshore development projects.

In this critical role, you'll provide the cost leadership, forecasting expertise and commercial insight required to support confident decision-making and successful project delivery. Working closely with project leadership, contractors and key stakeholders, you'll drive robust cost management, identify risks and opportunities, and help ensure stable project execution over the coming years.

What you'll be doing

- Lead project cost control activities including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and expenditure management.
- Monitor cost performance and provide insights to optimise project outcomes.
- Partner with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to maintain effective cost governance.
- Review contractor cost reports, invoices and completed work valuations.
- Support project change management, contract administration and assurance activities.
- Drive continuous improvement across project controls systems and processes while providing leadership to Cost Controllers.

What you'll bring





- Extensive experience in project cost control within large-scale capital or development projects.
- Strong forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting capability.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence project outcomes through sound commercial judgement.
- Leadership experience, including coaching or mentoring team members.
- Experience within offshore, energy, resources or major project environments will be highly regarded.
