Linux & Trading Infrastructure Engineers – Multiple Roles | Sydney

We’re currently hiring across multiple infrastructure engineering positions with leading quantitative trading firms in Sydney.

These opportunities suit hands-on engineers who enjoy working close to Linux, physical infrastructure, networking and production systems. While the exact focus differs across each team, all three roles operate in highly technical, performance-sensitive environments where reliability and infrastructure quality are critical.

The Opportunities

Linux Systems Engineer – Bare Metal & Kubernetes

Work across large-scale bare-metal Linux infrastructure and on-prem Kubernetes environments. You’ll help design, operate and improve production platforms, with technologies including Rancher, Cilium, ArgoCD, Terraform and GitHub Actions.

Linux Production Engineer

Build, administer and support high-performance Linux infrastructure used across trading and research. The role combines day-to-day production engineering with server deployments, upgrades, automation, monitoring and platform improvements.

Trading Infrastructure Engineer

Work directly with the physical infrastructure underpinning latency-sensitive trading systems. You’ll cover Linux server deployment, OS and hardware optimisation, networking, automation,



monitoring and production troubleshooting.

What We’re Looking For

Across the three positions, we’re interested in engineers with experience across:

- Solid Linux systems engineering / administration
- Bare-metal or physical server infrastructure
- Python and/or Bash scripting and automation
- Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
- Production infrastructure and incident response
- Infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Monitoring, observability and performance troubleshooting

Depending on the role, experience with Kubernetes, Rancher, Cilium, ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible, multicast networking, PTP, colocation or low-latency infrastructure will be particularly valuable.
