About the role

Outback Coast Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Light Vehicle Technician to join our team in Denham, WA. This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of light vehicle maintenance and repair tasks. As a Light Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet and customer vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, contributing directly to the safety and reliability of our operations in this unique regional location.

Key responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil and filter changes, fluid top-ups, and tyre rotations
- Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
- Repair and replace vehicle components including brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and engines
- Carry out safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet roadworthiness standards
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed
- Identify potential issues and advise customers on necessary repairs and preventative maintenance
- Work efficiently to meet service schedules and customer expectations
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

- A recognised qualification in automotive mechanics or light vehicle servicing (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
- Proven experience working as a light vehicle technician in a skilled workshop environment
- Strong knowledge of light vehicle systems including engine, transmission, brakes, steering, and electrical components




- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- A valid driver's licence
- Current First Aid certification is desirable
- Experience in regional or remote locations would be advantageous
