We have Mobile Security Patrol Officer and Casual Security Officer roles available

As a Mobile Security Patrol Officer/Security Officer you will be the visible, on-the-ground presence protecting our clients' sites across the Townsville region. You will conduct scheduled and random patrols, respond to alarm activations, secure and lock up premises, and provide a skilled first response to incidents. We run multiple patrol runs across the day, evening and overnight, so your hours will be varied and rostered across the week rather than fixed to one shift. Vigilant Security operates 24/7, and you will be backed by our management team at all times.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct mobile patrols of commercial client sites on scheduled and random rotations
- Check in and out of sites to create accurate records of every patrol
- Read and follow the site instructions for each location
- Build positive relationships with shopping centre tenants and check in with them on safety and any concerns
- Respond to alarm activations, investigate, and take appropriate action
- Complete site lockups, unlocks and access control tasks
- Conduct staff escorts as requested
- Issue and enforce site bannings in line with client instructions and the relevant legislation




- Provide a professional first response to incidents, breaches and suspicious activity, and escales in line with our procedures
- Use your initiative to make sound decisions on the ground

About you

- Current Queensland Security Provider Licence
- Current open Queensland driver's licence (for Mobile Security Patrol Officers)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Work rights with Australian Citizenship
- Availability for varied shifts across days, evenings, nights and weekends
- Ability to learn quickly, make sound decisions and utilise initiative
- Confident using software and access to a smart phone
- A genuine commitment to work health and safety
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for accurate reporting
- A professional presentation and a calm, level-headed approach under pressure
