Aurizon is seeking a qualified Locomotive Driver to join our rail freight operations based at Junee. This is an chance to be part of a business that plays a critical role in connecting Australian industries and communities through safe, reliable and efficient rail transport.

About the role:

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of freight services across the rail network.

- Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting and marshalling.
- Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
- Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of on-time running.

- Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
- Provide high quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives.

About you: To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Strong commitment to safety and Aurizon’s safety strategy “I Know Safe, I Choose Safe”.
- Must be available to work a 24/7 shift roster.




- Experience working in any of the following Safe Working systems an advantage: NSW & VIC
- Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience
- A Certificate IV in Rail Operations (or equivalent)
- NSW & VIC Safe Working
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
