Machine Operator

Days Eggs Pty Ltd | Lower Light, South Australia

Days Eggs is seeking a Machine Operator to operate our Moba PX350 egg-grading machine at Lower Light. You will be responsible for machine operation, product checks and maintaining consistent production flow across grading and packing.

Reporting to the Grading Floor Supervisor and Production Manager, you will prepare and operate the machine, monitor performance and respond to production issues within your training and authority. This hands-on role suits someone with production, packing or machine operation experience who takes responsibility for secure work, product quality and reliable output.

Key responsibilities

· Prepare, start, operate and shut down the Moba in accordance with approved settings and work instructions.

· Monitor egg flow, grading and packing performance, identifying jams, excessive breakage and other production metrics.

· Coordinate the supply of eggs, cartons and trays to the line and manage product changeovers.

· Verify egg stamps, carton dates, labels and pack presentation against production requirements, and report discrepancies.

· Maintain accurate production and quality records, and report equipment faults promptly.

· Communicate production requirements and line issues to grading and packing staff, and demonstrate operating procedures where required by the supervisor.





· Complete allocated cleaning and comply with food safety, hygiene and safe operating procedures.

Skills and experience

· Practical experience in production, packing, food processing or machine operation.

· Ability to use machine controls, follow operating procedures and maintain accurate records.

· Attention to detail when checking product quality, labelling, quantities and machine settings.

· Reliable attendance, clear communication and the ability to work effectively with the production team.

· Sound judgement to stop work and report unsafe conditions or issues outside your training and authority.

· Previous Moba or egg-grading experience is desirable but not essential. Training in our equipment and site procedures will be provided, with competency confirmed before independent operation.
