As the Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with our General Manager, Facilities to oversee the maintenance and operations of all assets within the UKO and Ume portfolios. Your primary goal will be to ensure that every property is not only functioning flawlessly but also presented impeccably, maximising rental returns for our organization.
Key responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs across multiple residential properties
- Complete reactive maintenance work orders within agreed service levels
- Undertake preventative maintenance inspections
- Carry out minor carpentry, plastering, painting and patching works
- Repair doors, locks, cabinetry, fixtures and fittings
- Replace tapware, toilet seats, silicone, door hardware and other minor plumbing components
- Perform basic electrical maintenance such as replacing lamps (within licence limitations)
- Assemble and install furniture and equipment
- Maintain common areas, plant rooms and back-of-house areas
- Assist with room refurbishments and property improvement projects
About you
- Broad handyman experience in residential or commercial maintenance
- Robust troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work across multiple sites
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer service focus
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
- White Card
- Ability to use smartphones and maintenance management software
- Trade qualification (Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical or similar) - desirable
- Test & Tag competency - desirable
- Experience using property maintenance software (e.g. Yardi) - desirable
