In this role, you'll:

Play a key role in supporting the performance, integration and continuous improvement of Sydney Metro's operations. Working across complex projects and stakeholder groups, you will lead operational initiatives, coordinate critical interfaces, and provide strategic advice that helps ensure operational requirements are embedded throughout the metro project lifecycle. You will be managing the integration of customer information and operational systems between our delivery partners and Transport for NSW environments.

You will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of network performance while helping Sydney Metro maintain its role as an informed client and effective steward of metro operations.

More specifically you will

- Lead the delivery of operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance network performance and drive consistent outcomes across metro lines.
- Coordinate strategic, tactical and operational interfaces across railway and public transport systems to support successful project delivery.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and recommendations for senior leaders, executives and governance forums to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify operational requirements, resolve issues and achieve positive customer and stakeholder outcomes.




- Support the integration of customer information and operational systems across Sydney Metro and Transport for NSW environments.
- Provide operational expertise and advice during project planning, specification, design, commissioning and operational readiness activities.
- Identify, capture and promote lessons learned to drive continuous improvement across project development, delivery and operations.
- Build strong partnerships across Sydney Metro, Transport for NSW and industry stakeholders to support integrated and effective outcomes.

About You

You are a highly organised and collaborative professional with experience delivering operational projects within complex environments. You bring strong project management, analytical, technical and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and influence outcomes across diverse groups. Your experience in transport, infrastructure or similarly complex operational systems setting enables you to use operational evidence, trusted data, technology and industry best practices while maintaining a strong customer and performance focus to deliver measurable improvements.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in business process mapping, operational design and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Experience delivering complex projects and managing multiple priorities within demanding environments.
- Knowledge of railway, metro or public transport systems, or experience working within comparable operational environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Proven ability to analyse information, solve problems and develop practical, customer-focused solutions.
- Solid planning, organisational and reporting capabilities, with attention to detail and a focus on quality outcomes.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement, integrity and accountability.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
