Merewether Motel is a busy 4 star property located in the beach suburb of Merewether, and our sister property Fern Bay Motel is located 15 mins from Newcastle. We are looking for a casual front of house receptionist who can predominately work at our Merewether property but also have the flexibility to work at our sister property if required. Someone who is a great communicator, has an outgoing and friendly personality, who is punctual and reliable.
This position will consist of approx. 21 hours per week. Our shifts generally include Morning shifts 7am - 2pm, Afternoon Shifts 2pm - close (approx. 7pm - 9pm) and our weekend shifts are on rotation.
Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Create a warm and welcoming experience for our guests, assisting them throughout the check-in and check-out process.
- Handle reservations, bookings and guest enquiries.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails and other guest correspondence.
- Process payments,
reconciling daily transactions, preparing tax invoices and maintaining accurate guest records.
- Ability to multi-task and remain cale under pressure.
- Cooking breakfasts, delivering and collecting room service trays.
- General Cleaning and assisting housekeepers when required.
- Any other duties that maybe required to keep the motel clean & tidy.
Prior experience as a receptionist, hotel front office attendant or similar role is preferable but not essential. Training will be provided to the right candidate. So if you would like to enter the hospitality industry, this is a great prospect for you!
