Deakin University in Burwood are looking for a gun Barista to join the team.

The Hours;

Monday to Friday, weekly

7am to 4pm

note: this is an ad-hoc casual position to build out a talent pool.

We require an experienced Barista, comfortable working autonomously in a busy environment and supply consistent quality coffee. Must be able to work a POS system, make all types of Hot and Iced Beverages.

The Role:

- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods, including espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art.
- Ability to operate and maintain commercial coffee machines and grinders.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valuable organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
- Assist with the set-up of a coffee cart
- Serving customers and using POS terminal for payments
- Working up to 3kg of coffee per day
- Assist with some food service
- Cleaning of the coffee cart and packdown
