BDK Labour Hire is currently seeking experienced Precast Steel Fixers to join a busy precast concrete yard located in Melbourne's North and West. Work will be carried out in a precast yard alongside skilled Formworkers and Concreters. This is an excellent chance for candidates seeking ongoing, stable work with the potential to transition into full-time employment based on performance.

Key responsibilities

- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for steel reinforcement placement.
- Install and secure steel reinforcement (e.g., rebar, mesh) into precast concrete molds as per engineer drawings.
- Cut, bend, and tie steel bars to form reinforcement cages/frames.
- Assist in the preparation and setup of formwork and molds.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and timeline requirements.
- Operate steel fixing tools and machinery as required.

About you

- Minimum 2 years of steel fixing experience in precast environments
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Valid Construction Induction (White Card) – Mandatory




- Valid Driver's License and reliable transport – Mandatory
- Work rights in Australia
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screening
- Physically fit and safety-focused
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
