Can you lead a paeds OT team and carry a caseload at the same time?

We're not after a manager. We're after the OT you who leads by example. The one who still sees kids, still writes the hard reports, still knows what the job actually feels like on a Tuesday.

That connection is the whole point. You can't back a therapist through a complex case if you haven't been in one lately.

About the role

This is a full time role across Melbourne's South-Eastern suburbs, and it's roughly 60% clinical. You'll carry a community caseload of children with developmental and NDIS needs, seeing them at home, at kinder and at school.

The other 40% is leading a team of 4-6 paediatric OTs. Regular supervision, backing them through complex cases, and a real say in how the service runs.

Two days a week you'll be based at our Malvern office. That's where supervision, team time, planning and reports get done, and where your OTs can actually find you. The other three you're out with families.

Community paeds is demanding work. It's also where you see the real difference, in the child's actual world, not a clinic room.

What makes THC different

A lot of Team Leader roles come with responsibility and no visibility. You're accountable for how your team performs and you never really get to see it.

Not here. We run a regular Team Leaders meeting where leaders from across the business sit down together, and you'll have full transparency over your team's performance. The numbers, where each person is tracking, what needs attention. You see exactly what we see. We just don't use it to micromanage you.





Our leaders still treat, right across THC. That's not a compromise we've made, it's the standard we set, because your team will do what you do, not what you tell them. And we don't micromanage on KPIs. We hire experienced clinicians and trust them to run their day and lead their people.

We grow you as a leader, not only as a clinician. Leadership development alongside your clinical PD. Our whole team meets face to face every week at our Malvern HQ for case discussions, peer support and in-house PD, and that's one of your two office days. Once a year we bring the whole leadership team together for our annual conference.

Here's what comes with the role:

- $110,000-$125,000 + super (salary is based on experience)

What we're looking for

- Extensive paediatric OT experience in a community setting

- Current AHPRA registration

- Experience leading, supervising or mentoring clinicians, or ready to step into it

- Someone who wants to keep treating, not step away from it

- Someone who wants to grow with us, not just clock on and off

- Current driver's licence and your own vehicle

- A genuine passion for working with kids and families
