Geelong
Bay City Health Group is a progressive and innovative multi-disciplinary Allied Health & Pilates clinic based in Geelong, Vic. At Bay City Health we really value our solid culture of positivity and personal growth leading to team success. Our commitment to providing exceptionally high standards of health care is something we’re extremely proud of. We have a hybrid health model consisting of manual therapy, clinical rehab/exercise and small group Clinical Pilates classes that ensures a team based approach to client management.
About You
We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and understands how important a reliable reception team is to a busy healthcare practice.
You’ll be someone who:
Is highly reliable, punctual and dependable - this is extremely important to us
Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing a job well
Is detail-oriented and notices the little things that others might miss
Is proactive and willing to go beyond the bare minimum to help the clinic run smoothly
Takes ownership of their responsibilities rather than waiting to be asked
Is warm, friendly and confident communicating with patients
Can remain calm, capable and organised in a busy environment
Is flexible with their availability and willing to assist with additional reception shifts and leave cover
Works well independently while also being a supportive member of a small team
Is looking for a workplace they can become a valued and dependable part of long-term
Previous medical or allied health reception experience would be highly regarded, particularly experience with practice management software, Medicare, private health claiming, WorkSafe, TAC or DVA. However, the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important to us.
This position will initially include a regular Tuesday afternoon shift from 2:30pm–6:30pm each week.
Importantly, we are looking for someone who also has flexibility outside of these regular hours and can assist with additional reception coverage when needed.
The right person will ideally be available to:
Work the regular Tuesday 2:30pm–6:30pm shift
Pick up additional shifts during the week when required
Help cover team members during annual leave, holidays and planned absences
Occasionally assist with short-notice cover where possible
Take on additional regular hours as they become available
While the position begins with a smaller number of guaranteed hours, there is genuine opportunity for the role to grow.
We’re a growing clinic, and we strongly believe in creating opportunities for people who demonstrate reliability, initiative, a great work ethic and a willingness to learn. For the right person, this role has the potential to develop into additional hours, greater responsibility and progression within Bay City Health over time.
For this reason, this position will best suit someone who values flexibility and is looking for an opportunity to grow with a business, rather than someone seeking only a fixed four-hour shift each week.
A Note About Applying
We genuinely want to hear from people who are interested in Bay City Health specifically, rather than simply applying for every reception position on SEEK.
A cover letter is required with your application. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
In your cover letter, please tell us a little about yourself, why this role appeals to you and why you think you would be a great fit for our team.
And if you’re someone who likes to take a little initiative — we notice that too. Feel free to introduce yourself directly via email or even pop into the clinic and say hello.
